Also - if the ground is very dry, try watering it so that it is damp (not sopping wet, but damp enough so that the is a good connection to the ground).

Try putting up 1 or 2 ground wires. One on the bottom (so if she ducks under & lifts that one up to the electric she should get a better poke) & one in between the 2 hot wires. Fasten your ground wires directly to your posts. (Have you ever touched the wire & a post at the same time? It's more fun if you're holding someone elses hand while you're doing it. <big evil grin>.) I am soooo frustrated!!! I have a 2 yr old filly (16hds, 3/4 TB 1/4 Perch) that has developed the furious habit of running through my electric fence. I don't know how to stop her! Any advice would be GREATLY appreciated!
