Buy the cotton rope at the local Orchard Supply (California) or what you have where you live.  It is tighter and smaller and you can bradi back any kind of snap you want in it..........mb

My problem is that I can't **find** anything made out of anything but  
nylon or poly (which has the same problem).  The cotton leads I see  
are way too fat and loosely wrapped.

Got a source?
