An interesting tidbit about Teddy (living here in Wyoming, this is local lore:)  is that he was a milk route horse, I believe.  He was used to trotting all day long for long hours.  He was actually the perfect horse for this endurance task.  I don't know much about Sam.  Tom VanGelder used to put a little note about Teddy on some of the BigHorn flyers.  Tom used to have a neat photo of Teddy.  Cindy
