Re: [RC] saddle search, again! - Don Huston

Hello Nancy,

Yes it was a nice day. I was up in your area today, Escondido, surveying for a new house. Anyway...there is a great saddle and shoe repair shop in El Cajon. I have used him many times. "Carl's" 862 N. 2nd St. 619-442-3027. The guy who runs the shop bought it from Carl years ago and of course everyone calls him Carl but if you want to make him smile call him by his real name....Glen. You will have to bring the saddle in for an estimate but I gave you his number to call before you go to make sure he will be there. He also has some repaired saddles that people have not picked up that are for sale.

Hmmmm...the fine art of Muck Meditation...an art form I am unfamiliar with >:-}

Has anyone in ride camp used the new Abetta Serenity aka Trinity saddle w/ memory foam? Any experience w/ regular tree vs wide tree?
Why I ask such a silly question? My Jazzi has for the 3rd or 4th time grew out of her saddle. I thought I had one that fits, but after several training rides, it is just too wide. I have a really old Abetta in my tack room (a regular tree) and it fits. But it is so old the straps holding the cinch ring to the tree are rotten and is not safe to use. I am burned out on the saddle hunt this time around and hope the new Abetta will work. Thank you in advance for your feedback and sharing your experiences....Off to feed and muck as I practice the fine art of muck meditation....
