Re: [RC] Rider Cards - rides2far

>>>Once again we find out how much better things are in the SE region.  Being a finish line timer this weekend, I will try to do better but since Truman thinks we are not good timers, I guess I am bound to make mistakes as usual.........................lol..................mb

If it makes you feel any better...Truman has nothing to do with it working so well. >g<

I think it would be interesting to get the "head timer" from each region together sometime and see how their systems compared. We used to just do whatever, then Nancy came up with her system and since she worked a lot of rides others just picked it up and that's the way they do it. I guess it's better than the way I used to do it since I never quite noticed a rider was missing until the finishers & pulled riders didn't add up to as many riders as what had started. My ride has a Civil War theme so I just list them as MIA.

The ride I timed was a 50 mile loop with 4 different vet check locations. I can't imagine keeping up with 3 distances all leaving the same vet check over and over with the 100's on 3 different loops from fastest to slowest. That's why I only had the front runners reports this weekend. I didn't *dare* mess with the timer who was trying to keep focused on all that.
