[RC] Ride refunds - Sharon Hahn

In Minnesota, it's all "pay as you go," so there are no refunds.  You can pre-register (sometimes with a $5 early entry discount), but you don't need to pay until you show up at the ride.  Of course, our rides don't generally have meals provided (we have potluck) so there's not really a lot of planning ahead that depends on #s.  Awards are usually not ride-specific/year-specific so extras can be saved for next year or passed on to another ride.  Our rides generally have numerous events in one weekend (CTR, LD, endurance) so lots of times somebody knows they are coming, but not which events they are doing (they might do a 50, or they might do a 25 each day instead, or they might know they are doing Saturday's 25, but might ride Sunday's 25 also if Saturday went OK...)

The only thing you might need to pay ahead of time is a fee to reserve a campsite - which is paid directly to the park and subject to the park's policy, not the ride managers'.
