[RC] Employment? - Genevieve

Greetings to all,

To those who don't know me my name's Genevieve and I'm 23 years old, currently living in Orange County. I'm looking for equestrian-related employment in California. I'd prefer to work in the Bay Area, Orange County or anywhere in between (Fresno would be wonderful as that's where my family is). I have experience barn managing, teaching (mostly beginners and children in both Western and English), handling studs and young horses, training, and I have A LOT of dude ranch experience and have spent many years working and managing childrens' programs. My dream job would be any kind of management position. I excel at organizing, handling paperwork, and customer service.

A live-in position is not required but it's definitely a plus. I'd also prefer to be able to keep my horse on property. He's an extremely well-behaved gelding and is very low-maintenance. Pay is negotiable, especially if myself and my horse are allowed to live on-property, but I'm definitely NOT looking for a summer-camp position for a kid. I need a full-time competitive salary for a working adult who has needs and pays bills, yada yada, you know the drill. :)

I'd LOVE to work at an endurance barn and learn the ropes as I've been wanting to do endurance racing for as long as I can remember but have always lacked the funds/trailer/expertise/etc... to do it. I'd also love to compete as I've had very little experience due to the same reasons (money/trailer/etc...). I've done some jumping and was a working student under a dressage trainer for a while.

I'm CPR and First Aid certified, have a driver's license and car, can hitch a trailer and drive a truck, can do minor maintenance, and can even do house and child sitting (I used to be a nanny). I'm also a web and graphics designer and have great typing skills.

If you think you can use me and would like to get in contact or see a resume/references please e-mail me at callmedot@xxxxxxxxx. I'd rather not give out my phone number to a public list, especially as it's proven to not be completely secure in the past so if you'd like it just ask.

Thank you all for your consideration.
