I agree. Lying down would be best. The horses on youtube just did the trick part, not for mounting.
I remember reading about a paraplegic teaching her arab to lie down and she'd scoot from the chair to the horse.

I looked on Youtube and they were doing exactly that but no one was mounting with a saddle. I'll give it a try.
