RE: [RC] WEG 2010 / AERC / FEI - Kristen A Fisher

And what I am telling you is, USEF already has 90,000 members who belong to affiliate organizations who don’t get a discount on a USEF membership just because they are part of an affiliate. Why would they give one to AERC?

Also, my USEF membership has nothing to do with my AHA membership. They are 2 separate functions. Not only is bundling the memberships a bad idea [IMO] – it’s just not done by USEF.

Things can always change, but my interaction with USEF over the past several years would indicate that they won’t – at least not where the mechanics of membership are concerned.

The idea I floated was that AERC negotiate a discount from USEF's typical annual membership fee of  $40 and $10 for the endurance discipline and that cost be included in AERC fees. There is no reason why it can't be done.
