I would much rather ride for a t-shirt and a rock. In all of our lives, there will come a time when we would gladly trade the car and the money for one more ride with our favorite horse. I think Frank's and my all-time favorite finishing award is the opportunity to start again the next day. Today I am thinking of the magic in the morning air when we are warming up the horses in big circles at the Bates Creek Ranch waiting for the release to ride another day and another 25, 50, or 100 miles on the Owyhee trails.
