[RC] Renegade Boots - Bruce Weary DC

Dayna and I have gone barefoot with all our horses in the last six months, and have been very happy with the Renegade boots, which we use exclusively at rides. There are ingeniously designed, and offer great protection and sure-footedness. Kirt Lander, the developer, is very knowledgeable, and works very hard to assure good fit and success with the boot. We had some rubbing initially, but have found that this is a result of proper fit. Once the fit is correct, no more problems. They stay on even in water and mud. My wife, Dayna has won a 50 in them, I have top tenned on my foxtrotter in them, and we have several local friends using them. They last for several hundred miles, and are easy to put on and get off.
Since we are barefoot, we do some training with no boots, or maybe fronts only, depending on the footing, but we compete with boots on all fours. The horse's feet have improved tremendously, and we feel good about the whole experience.
My best testimonial, I suppose, is that my mare was becoming trippy, and had gone down with me several times in our career together--twice at Tevis last year!. Since she is no longer shod, it is as if she can feel her feet again, and she is absolutely flawless in her footing how. No more tripping or falling. No more broken ribs. Which is nice. Dr Q
