[RC] Fw:Little Blackie, True Grit - Dot WigginsJust a side light to this.Kim Darby was not a rider, she refused to ride any horse except the black and white paint Little Joe rode on Bonanza. Since paints of any kind were not common, unpopular in fact, in the time and place of the True Grit story, they dyed the horse's spots black, all but the stockings. There are times when you can see the markings under the dye. Just in case you watch True Grit when you can't ride this winter.
