[RC] *MORE* on markings - rides2far

Boy, the more you look at all these rules the more you find that one way
or another they overlap.

Now, it looks like 7 is blessed!:

Should the horse have white leg markings, desire three white marks, with
the exception of one off-foot, the fore or the hind, it matters not.
(this gets 7 in the door if you don't count a tiny wedge of white on his
RR coronet)

"Hold in high regard a horse without white markings on his legs and a
white star on his head or with a simple stripe. The stripe must reach
down to his lips-his master will never lack for milk. It is a felicitious
indication. It is the image of the dawn. If the star is broken and
irregular it will please no one, and if the animal has, in addition, an
off-fore with a white sock, no man in his right mind should mount the
animal, no connoisseaur would even want to own him. That horse slays like
subtle venom.

A good sign is a white off-fore with a white near=behind. ONe terms that:
"The hand of the scribe and the foot of the horseman." The master of such
a horse cannot help but be happy, for he mounts on a white foot and
dismounts on another (It is known that the Arabs mouint on the off-side
and generally dismount on the near).

Two white hind feet are an indication of good fortune:
The horse with two white hind-feet,
His master will never be ruined".

The same thing does not apply to a horse with two white forefeet; his
master will always have an ashen face.

Never buy a bald faced horse with four white feet for he carries the
shroud with him.

I *think* that's all of them.
