[RC] re: warm jeans - Cindy Collins

I second what Sharon L says about this topic. I own several pair of wonderful Carhartt flannel lined jeans and I wear them alot during the winter, but I'd never ride in them or even snowshoe or x-c in them. I wear powerstretch polarfleece long underwear, then a winter riding tight on top of that (Equessentials, Evelyn's, etc...wish that Saddle Bums would make a decent winter tight of good quality water resistent material, but they don't) and if I need more, I put my waterproof chaps on top of that. Two layers of some kind of sweat wicking polypro shirts, then a vest, plus a waterproof ski type coat. I use "hot hand" warmer in my gloves if needed. Cindy
