[RC] First Kahlil Khai Award Winner-Nicki Mueten and Fury - Jody Rogers-Buttram

The Kahlil Khai 100 Mile Award was presented this past weekend for the first time ever.  It is in memory of the great endurance horse, Kahlil Khai, owned and ridden by Joe Long.  This award goes to the horse owned by a SERA member that rides the most one day 100s in a ride year.  Those rides do not have to be sanctioned by SERA.  So, ANY 100 counts.  This year, Fury, owned and ridden by Nicki Mueten was presented with a monogrammed winter blanket.  Not only did Fury complete five 100 mile rides,  he placed 3rd in the Old Dominion, then traveled to California to finish 13th in the Tevis.  This is the kind of special horse that should be honored by such an award.  Congratulations to Nicki and Fury !!!!

Note:  This award is a privately funded award, given by the 3jfarm.
