[RC] Nobbys Ribs - Tom Sites

Not wanting to start a dialogue but rather an observation.  I probably have see as many Menes grand sons as anyone and this was the first time i saw ribs showing.  There can be no doubt the horse was fit, just look at the total recovery time.  But it goes to the way that thought weight was a perogerative.

Its almost like a long distance runner who is lean and skinny.  So i leave you with the thought things have changed back to the early days of endurance when horses that were fit were skinny.  These photos show a well conditioned horse many would thought skinny.

The winner was also a willow sprite, young .  Fitness from these results shows one  who does not have  to carry unnecessary weight to be fit.  Also look at the photo of the second place rider.  He was tall and slender and young.

Perhaps the only thing that changes is change itself and the next WEC winner may be plump and the horse rotund.  Not so this year tho.  tom sites.
