[RC] WEC training program - rides2far@xxxxxxxxI once read that you can tell a person who isn't as successful as you what they're doing wrong, but you can't look at someone who is more successful than you and figure out why. The idea that Truman, or I or Ginger Bill can tell Val, or Becky how to win a WEC is about as rediculous an assumption as anyone could make. There is a huge difference between riding and winning. I've won two rides but I didn't do it by having good strategy or knowing *how* to win. I won because I was doing a top 5 pace (a whole different ballgame) and the people who knew how to win either got pulled or didn't show up that day. These people know how to WIN. Look at their records and take you hat off and hold it in your hand. The last thing they need from anybody who tends to post on this forum is advice. I wish them well, and if they ever have the urge to throw some advice *down* my way (the correct direction to throw advice)I'll greatfully accept it.
