I personally have never had one of these horses and I can't imagine that it's something I'm doing right...so I'm guessing there is something, like a fungus or something that these horses have present in their home environment that goes crazy under say, 100 mile conditions. It just makes no sense at all to me to see a horse start a 100 looking fine and by the end of the ride have lesions. So I'm people whose horses seem more likely to get them.
