[RC] National Show Horses - Lucy Chaplin Trumbull

We were at a trainers this past weekend looking at a National Show Horse.  She made the comment that her experience is that NSH's are spookier than purebred Arabs on the trail.  For any NSH owners who ride endurance, do you feel this comment is a true reflection of a NSH?

Nope.

Horses owned and ridden(ish):

Arab horse #1 - could lose her brain over nothing and have a complete melt down
Arab horse #2 - spooked occasionally, but generally pretty steady
Arab horse #3 - spooky as all get out (I fall off at regular intervals), but generally
                            level-headed (note he's the most experienced of all my horses)
Arab horse #4 - young and inexperienced, a little spooky, but mostly distrustful.
NSH #1 - rarely spooks, about as level-headed as they come
NSH #2 - young and inexperienced, not so much spooky as scaredy. Getting better
                 with regular riding. Very even tempered.
TWH/Arab #1 - *very* occasionally spooks in slow motion (16 hh will do that to you)
Welsh pony #1 - not yet started, but gumby-like in physical ability. Not very spooky.
