[RC] re: when will I feel "normal" again, Dr. Q - Cindy Collins

Dr. Q is the expert, but my experience is that there are some injuries/surgeries where you are never "normal" again. ?You become a "new normal," if you know what I mean. ?Even with excellent post medical care, years of good physical therapy and a super physical rehab doctor, I'll never be 100% pain free and my body will never work quite like it used to. ?So, I have to work really hard at staying in shape, so pilates type exercises, ?improving my riding with dressage lessons, taking some meds, etc. to be able to ride. ?It's just the way it is. ?Getting old is not for sissies. ?Getting old after multiple injuries and surgeries is even worse...but, I wouldn't give up. ?You will adapt! ?Cindy

"How long does it take to get normal with no pain?"?
