[RC] Saddle Fitting - Theory and Practice - Stagg_Newman


Proper saddle fit is critical to long term and/or top performance.
Improper saddle fit is one of the primary causes of  long term soundness problems.
Each horse needs a solution tailored to its individual build and way of going.
And the saddle fit work for the rider.  There are no simple solutions.
Therefore APEX (A Partnership for Endurance Xcellence) is pleased to host a general event (not just for endurance!) on 


Saddle Fitting:  Theory and Practice
February 15-18 (Friday, Saturday, Sunday)
at our place outside Asheville, NC.  Dr Kerry Ridgway (DVM, AERC Hall of Fame vet who gave us the 'fit to continue' criteria, equine chiropractor and acupuncturist) will provide the theory.   Mike Scott (Certified Master Saddle Fitter) will provide the practice including fitting your saddle to your horse or one of a variety of saddles he will have with him.  You can take advantage of either or both, as outlined in the attached flyer (please invite your friends, too!).  The registration form is also attached.  Pre-registration is required.
