[RC] Oregon 100 9/27/08 - Darlene M. Anderson, LVT

Oregon 100 (near  Bend ,  Oregon ) is coming up on Sept. 27, and it's
going to be great! Sharke's been out finding new trail to cut down on
repeats, and our vet staff is Tom Timmons, Mike Foss, Dr.  Jen and Eric
Sharpnick.

Best of all Gallop's Saddlery (Tigard and  Bend ) is sponsoring many of
the awards for all distances and they are awesome! Coolers, Kerrit's
jackets, Ariat totes full of stuff, products from Equerry's, Easycare
and Toklat, Gallops gift certificates, custom stained glass by Sue
Summers, and a fabulous saddle pad from Healthy as a Horse. Each
registration comes with a "goodie" bag full of great products from
Northwest vendors. And of course, an excellent tail end award.

Remember, each team member on the 100 gets one of these great awards,
even if only one member of your team completes! The team concept is
cool; you don't have to ride with each other, but you'll be inspired
to work with each other, stay up and help each other to make sure as
many of you can finish for the cool awards and satisfaction that you
did a 100!

100 mile team riders can be mentored by Pac  North FEI riders who will
be spread out among the teams. You can't get any better experience
than doing your first 100 with that kind of support. They're excited
about this and looking forward to it.

The trails are relatively flat and fast and this is a good place to go
up in distance if you're thinking you're ready.

Healthy As A Horse and Gallops will have trailers set up for great
shopping, and there will be a concession stand.

Come out and support the Pac North!

A horse can lend its rider the speed and strength he or she lacks, but the rider who is wise remembers it is no more than a loan.  ~Pam Brown
