[RC] to breed or not to breed? - Dot Wiggins

I gave up on breeding one of the best endurance mares I've known a few years ago. She was a fantastic ride! Due to my own health issues I wasn't able to take her on to bigger things (She top tenned 5 100s in one season, ready for faster the next year, but I wasn't) We did do quite a few more 50s before she was injured and retired.
While I loved her and understood her she was from a line that many people could not deal with.
At my age I knew I would not be able to take a foal and go with it, so I elected not to breed her for a foal that might never find the right rider.
Great lines gone to waste but better than an unhappy or unused horse.
