How do you all pony safely.  I tried it and she about jerked my arm off 
until I tied a knot in my lead rope and held that knot against the pommel. 
When she pulled it gave me a little support.  Would love to hear how you 
professional poniers do it :)

Does anyone just let their horse follow loose?  (taking into consideration 
if you are on private wooded trials, and not near a neighbors corn field or 
roads, etc.)
