[RC] Ponying a horse - k s swigart

Mike Maul said:

Horse cannot be entered in the ride without a rider and
you can only ride one horse during a distance.

There is no rule that says you can only ride one horse during a
distance. There USED to be a rule that says you can only enter one ride
in a day, but they got rid of that rule.

An entered horse should be under the control of the rider
which is not the case for a ponyied horse.

I looked in my rule book and couldn't find any rule that says that am
emtered jprse should be under the control of the rider.

In fact, the only rule I could find about whose control a horse must be
under is rule 2. which states that
"Equines must be under the control of veterinarian(s) experienced with
equines or endurance rides."

According to the preamble, the rider is RESPONSIBLE for his mount, but
it doesn't say that his mount has to be under his control.

If such a rule exists, please point it out to me. I couldn't find
it....although, admittedly, I didn't look in the by-laws.
