Actually, I've ponied a couple silly horses out of camp for riders in the past,  and I've wished for a "ponier" for a ways a few times.  (;>)

When my granddaughter first started competing, I ponied her horse at the beginning of the ride a couple of times, to ensure that he was as good as he usually is at home...  After that she was on her own and always happy to have that 'baby' lead off her horse!
