Re: Spam:****, Re: [RC] ID on horse - Nancy Sturm

We have the road ID bracelets. In addition to the usual stuff I put a description of our truck, figuring is I were down for the count and there was no cell service someone could at least figure out where to take my horse.

I was out clearing trail a couple of years ago on the opening weekend of upland bird season and came across a gorgeous young chocolate labrador retriever. His collar had been removed and he was not tattooed or microchipped. No one responded to the newspaper ads we placed or the signs we posted. He was not listed as lost at either of the adjoining county animal control offices. We finally decided his previous owner had dumped him, but the whole episode taught us a good lesson about identifying our pets. And we got a very nice dog out of it.

Nancy
