When searching for a missing horse in order to get the police and fire departments

to help you tell them you are worried about your horse causing a deadly accident

with a child or car by running scared out onto a road.

 

That usually gets their attention and they might help. Fire departments often have

ATV's.

 

They normally won't care that much about your horse. But, they will care about a

potential road hazard that the horse can be.
