WE THE PEOPLE WHO OWN IT


We had an old farmer neighbor who owned the large ranch that lies obetween 
our place and the Applegate River.  Since our house is situated on a hill, 
we have had a 45 year long  view of this very beautiful property.

He said that it is not our land, that it belongs to the commonwealth and 
that all we have bought is the right to live on it.

I haven't a clue whether that's true or not, but since we'd just bought our 
25 acres, it was a disturbing concept for two 21 year old cattle barons.
