[RC] one butt, two horses and a full time job - sherman

At one time I was conditioning 2  horses for myself and trying to help my daughter keep her horse up also since she could only ride on the weekends.. One week I’d ride one horse twice, the other horse once, the next week I’d reverse the pattern. I’d pony my daughter’s horse only once a week. Once thing that you should remember is that once a horse is in condition, they are easy to bring back, and don’t require as much conditioning to maintain conditioning, unless you’re racing. If I were starting a youngster with my program I’d probably pony him on the days I was riding the older horse, at least until I felt the youngster was in very good condition.
