2008 Tevis Cup
Ride has been CANCELLED
Based upon our face to face meeting with the US Forest
Service today, the Tevis Cup Ride has been cancelled due to increased fire
risks along the North Fork of the Divide. Foresthill Road will remain closed
based upon the threat for at least two weeks. While the USFS was willing to
work with us to allow access to the trail via Mosquito Ridge, it was decided,
due to the logistical problems and safety issues using this route, this was not
a feasible option. A full statement will will be issued later.
