Re: [RC] [RC] Vet Cards - Karen Standefer DBA - John Teeter

in playing with the VVRides concept, I ended up making a google docs version of a vet card. It can be used by anyone as a record of their ride history by simply entering the info from the vet card into the associated data base. (for VVRides, I also added loop track-logs).

Seems to me that we could all record our vet-cards quite easily and have a shared data repository for all riders who might wish, to save/ store their ride data.

An example of a vet card may be seen at:

and the whole ride may be seen at:

of course, it's work in progress

(ps. I'm currently trying to get automatic delivery of the completion awards ... t-shirts for all, but it's slow coming --- soon:)

Karen yep so am I. Techies like DATA - more is better. ALL my ride/vet cards have split times - how fast I rode each leg, how long to recovery, how long in the VC. I ALWAYS listen to gut sounds and compare what I think to the vet comments and write it down.
It is a competition, not a trail ride- to me that is.. and I try to be very efficient in the vet checks - get in, get pulsed down, get vetted through - get fed and get back on trail.

My ride /vet cards are used for more information then the vet scores. The best vet in the SE enters OK down the line.. ONLY if you are. I like rides that do CRI - that parameter means allot to me. I do CRI on trail IF I "think" something is not right. Yes I am (was) an Alpha rider.

Data base analysts and computer system analysts -it all about the details -- along with the math Phds like Truman.
