RE: [RC] LD and placings - Rae Callaway

For me, LD is NOT training.  Nor is it for a new horse, new rider, infirm
rider, etc.  I ride LD because I like it and I don't know if I'll ever move
up.  Sometimes I feel like competing and sometimes I feel like just riding.
I know that regardless of how I may decided to ride a particular LD, I don't
think I would ever participate in one that didn't offer times, placing, or
AERC BC.  I pay money to participate in a competition, so that's what I
want.  I love my region because that's how they run LD's.  I don't think
you'll ever see me heading to the West region (where most of the LD
complaints come from) for a ride.
