[RC] LD..it must be winter - sherman

Boy that's the truth! Last night we were able to see stars, no smell of
smoke, thought I'd be able to ride today, but I can hardly breath this
morning it's so thick. WE thought we'd go to lower elevation to ride
yesterday and conditions were too bad there as well, so we just went for a
40 mile drive instead. I was surprised at how many trailers were at the
staging areas though, both pleasure and endurance riders, subjecting their
horses to the high particulate count as they take in those deep breaths
climbing thru the canyon. I think I'm doing my horses a favor by staying
home reading and making an occasional comment about LDs (or anything) rather
than risking their lungs preparing for Tevis. What do you think about that
Heidi?

It's not winter, but there's too much smoke in Northern California to ride
much now!? It was better at the barn tonight,?and my horses are all wound
up.
