Did the 100 go as planned? He offered a 100 there for the first time last Sept and it was nearly as tough as OD 100 in terms of average finish times. I am saving my pennies to haul out to TN for the 3-day BSF ride in Sept! The Region XII Distance Round Up had 13 start the 30 mile ride, and 10 finished. 24 started the 50 and 16 finished. We only had one entry for the 100, and he graciously decided to ride the 50. There were two overtime, two rider options, six were lameness and *only* one metabolic pull. Results have been "posted on-line" to AERC but I am not sure when they will show up. We had no one complain about the new trails, or the river crossing, with many compliments on them. Temperature was a little (8-10 F) above average for that time of year, but a couple of late afternoon showers cooled it off nicely. It will depend on what the Region is willing to risk whether we do this ride again next spring / summer, they took a beating with this one. We were supposed to be raising money to help pay for the Region XII Endurance Challenge.... Our plan is to incorporate these new trails with existing trails for the Big South Fork ride this fall. That will give us different 50 mile / 30 miles rides each of the three days. As is true for the rides I *help* with in the fall, I cannot thank the volunteer staff enough. I hate making lists, because I will leave someone off, so here is my apology in advance....
