[RC] 3/4 ton Dodge - Rebecca Fabiszak

I have a 1992 3/4 ton dodge with Cummins, 5 speed manual that had the clutch replaced at 168,000 miles where most of the miles were pulling. I put over-load springs on it (would spend the money for air bag one's next time) when we had a small camper, pulling a 3 horse slant, bumper pull. I now have a goose neck that is 30 ft. in length, 3 horse slant, 2000 Trails West with week ender package, not finished. I have never felt unsafe with Dudley-Do-Right, the name of my truck. I do have trailer brakes that I tend to have a bit on the high side, so that I don't have to replace the back braking system again, just pad's, which are being done now, as I type. I average 14 mpg's, hauling, fully loaded. I had the fuel injector pump rebuilt at 190,000 miles. I have gotten as good as 20 mpg on the highway, without a trailer, if I keep my foot out of it and do 65 mph. I would love to get a 1997 or 98 with the 12 valve, not the 24. I have heard from Dodge owners, one a pro rodeo guy, that the best engine ever made is the 12 valve Cummins. I have no complaints what so every. My bet is on an older Dodge. Beccy
