Re: [RC] [RC] LD, 50, 100 and Multi Days - Dawn Carrie

Yes, multidays are gaining in popularity, and people are even looking for more 2-day rides as opposed to 1-day rides, to get more riding for their fuel dollar.  As for 2-day 100s, it's just a personal thing for me, but I want my 100s be 1-day 100s...they ARE much harder than just doing two 50s in a row, and mean a lot more to me when I'm done.  As Truman said, a lot of it is mental.  Of course, my knees are also talkin' by about 85 miles or so.  <G>

get the benefit of the early early and late late cool riding, or change of
feel as day goes on to night. Don't like the idea of getting back on after
the soreness sets in. Don't like the idea of dragging the poor horse out
again after the let down. I think there's a lot to be said for doing it all
in one day. :-)<<<<
