I remember Lud saying one year that he put about 350 miles on his truck just 
running around on race weekend.  I don't know just what I put on my truck 
during Swanton Pacific, but it is a lot, because of the distances from camp 
to first VC and then all the other driving around checking to make sure all 
is going well.  I imagine I put on at least 200 miles, maybe more.  It's 
possible some riders don't realize how much mileage a ride manager covers in 
one weekend, but it's considerable for some of us.  Just FYI.
