Yes, I do like that my "out of pasture" horse is only 14:2 on tip toe with new shoes.   I still need a step but it's worth it.  She thinks she's as big as anybody and can trot with the big horses, if I let her.
And with age, 12, she has pretty much quit leaping sideways out from under me <g>

I am with you Dot.  I am just thrilled to finish 25 miles now and not hurt too very much.  I am starting a fat pony or 'Porkchop'!  My new saying is 'last but not least!'.  She is just a hoot and I can get on her from the ground!  Although she has no withers and the saddle tends to roll.  I like the fact that her spooks are almost non-existent!!  Jeanie
