I was at the Owyhee Fandango on Sat. night through
Monday afternoon and I have found a new catagory of
ridecampers- groupies- sort of like lurkers but you
show up without a horse, get to drive the 37mpg car to
get there, help out,learn an amazing amount of horse,
trail, endurance,LD,and interesting trivia. Just when
I was really feeling bad for not even trying to LD on
Sunday the entire 10 x10 canapy at the out gate of the
ranch vet check took off flying right at Dean Conti's
horse. He almost stayed on but took a really hard
looking fall and only stopped long enough to get some
vet wrap on his arm and said he would be back for some
stitches on the next go round- that is so far out of
my ability right now- I would probably still be laying
there whimpering. I don't limp anymore and can ride an
hour + without any pain but plan to increase that now
that school is out. My new plan is to trail ride the
Weiser river in Sept. and "maybe" LD at Canyonlands.
