In the end they did not put me in a brace, only because they decided I had already nearly reached my adult height. So now I use an "infinitely adjustable" type buckle or punch holes in the stirrup leathers to achieve the same amount of pressure from both legs.

good info kath and all I found that i feel this way on both my arabian and thoroughbred mare .. I ride the TB in a Kanavy saddle, btw and found that when I did adjust the left stirrup length... it was better. The only horse I dont have this "caddywumpus " feeling is my Quarter horse?


So far the score appears to be 2-1 in favor of NOT adjusting the length :) ?
