RE: [RC] DIESEL - YIKES - Debbie Parsons

It's all my fault! I'm riding Tevis this year and using a diesel truck. 3000 
miles one way. That's 
why prices continue to go up because "they" know it is going to stress me to no 
end and make me 
question my sanity even more than usual. I'm trying not to think about what 
this adventure will 
cost and how long it will take to pay it all off. Oh well, it's only money . . 
. . and it's not 
like it's going to get any cheaper!

I paid $4.35 for diesel Tuesday evening in central Florida. It's $4.45 at the 
corner store which 
tends to be higher. I'm sure by next weekend it will be much higher since 
regular gas is running 
about $3.75 now. Whenever the price difference gap lessens due to gas going up, 
diesel seems to 
take a sudden jump so it doesn't get caught.

I try to do like Sheila does--fill up before I get below a half tank. It's a 
mental game I play so 
I don't start wailing and gnashing my teeth at the gas pump. And we won't 
discuss the growls of 
frustration every week at the feed store when my feed has gone up yet again. 
I'm now taking the bus 
for part of my trip to work to help ease the pain.

PS: I'll be the one going 60mph all the way to CA in July.

$4.69 or was that yesterday and today is $4.79 in Sacramento/Auburn CA.?
goes up so fast I can't keep track.  I try and fill at 3/4 full so I don't
have sticker shock but I am now at a 1/2 tank.
