Re: [RC] re: new topic - Quentin & Libby Llop

Hi.
I haven't followed all of this thread and I may be repeating, but I just wanted to remind everyone that selenium level in forage is dependent on the soil selenium level where it was grown. So some rye may have very low selenium and some may have a toxic amount.

Hi all. Well, perhaps was not a good idea to have this topic after all as it seemed to go way off. Sorry about that.
Still regardless thanks for the inputs that were related and for the "safegrass" website which is really informative if you are planting pasture.
Also sorry to hear some folks having issue w/Ultium. I never did and still don't. I mentioned my belief in other posts what works for one won't work for another. Individuality. Very high sugar content in the Rye I got was comfirmed and low selenium. I just like to zero in on cause so to avoid in the future which I had in the past. Just made a mistake not checking on it pre-purchase and putting her back on her selenium sooner. Anyway, back to lurking. :)
