I think a 25% completion rate might be expected. The ONLY thing to  
slow this race down is the "Certificate of Capability" (CoC) rule  
which relates to metabolic pulls (i.e. 2 metabolic pulls within the  
next 8 months and you loose your CoC - one invasive treatment (within  
6 months) and you loose your CoC.

The CoC time (12km/hr) is the cut-off time for each gate too.  I  
wonder if the Europeans were lured there to put their CoCs at risk?  
(while the locals all are riding their non-CoC horses:)  -- just a  
conspiracy theory.
