From what I understand, the hiker who was murdered had a "blue belt in 
karate". I don't know if that is a really low one or what, but it probably 
indicates that she thought about wanting to be able to defend herself. Also, 
her dog having a microchip indicates that she was a careful person...makes it 
even more unnerving. 

Now that they've found out he probably killed another female hiker near a 
trailhead in FLA, along with the GA hiker and the elderly couple in NC? I 
wonder if he may have been responsible for a double murder that was on the 
Appalachian trail several years ago.  I hope the inmates make him suffer in a 
way that the court system isn't allowed to.

I don't know if anyone has mentioned it, but Dawson Forest, where her body was 
found is where they have the GERA Classic...and the favorite training grounds 
for quite a few endurance riders in the Atlanta area. It's not that big. She 
had to have been dumped near our trail.
