Re: [RC] Ho Boy! Here comes PeTA! - SandyDSA

You know, I know it is tough to comprehend <VBG>, but many people not only INVEST in horses in many disciplines but also own, ride, and even TRAIN (UGH!) with insufficient knowledge or experience, so to assume all people into racing KNOW what they are doing, that is not any more true than assuming the idiot who rides a horse three legged lame at a gallop thinking he will "win" a 50 miler must "know". There is far too much ignorance. Doesn't make it right - just what is. IMHO, a thorough knowledge and even accreditation of equine anatomy, physiology, breeding/genetics, and classical training techniques ought to be a required level of mastery before anyone can call themselves a breeder or trainer. Maybe owners, too. Sheesh.
