Re: [RC] lost cinch at overlook? - Lori Bertolucci

I take mine off so that it won't "drip dry" all over my stuff in the tackroom of my trailer. My saddle sits above all my other gear, like shoes, half chaps, and helmet. Would rather not have horse sweat all over them.  :)
But, I do keep the girth thrown over my shoulder when I take it off, that way I know I won't forget it.  (now watch, I'll leave it somewhere!)  lol

Can someone explain the reasons folks remove the girth completely everytime they unsaddle?
Just curious, seems like extra work, and girths get lost, dropped, left at home,  saddles get shook off while trying to work both sides.
Why is this a good practice, I see it all the time?

Subject: [RC] lost cinch at overlook?

Hi all local riders from Auburn etc.  I have been so upset recently because I seem to have lost one of my good cinches.  I may have left it at the Overlook staging so thought I'd put out a note incase anyone has come across it!
