thanks to everyone who posted suggestions about how to handle your sponge and leash. We attached the end clip to the breast collar and had immediate success! We also took time to teach Emily's horse to stand better at the water hole for the actual sponging process. With this newfound thought process, we also turned our front saddlebags around as they were on backwards -- I think. anyways, they seem to work better now, too. LOL.
