Re: [RC] Martingale's - Drin Becker

About four years ago at the AERC convention I bought a really nice running martingale . It has a short beta piece that goes onto your breast collar with a conway buckle and than has a snap on the other end . The piece that goes on your reins is one piece about 1 foot long with rings on both ends that your reins go through and than another ring that slides between the two rein rings that you snap the breast collar snap into and than the whole rein piece slides through the ring . You can do one rein stops , whatever with this setup if it is adjusted right . I really like it but cannot for the life of me remember who I bought it from at convention . It is also handy at gates or vet checks as you only have to unsanp the short piece and than you have normal reins for leading , none of the hassle of having to deal with putting your reins in and out of the martingale rings . I use running martingale's on all my horses , I just like the position it puts the reins in , JMO .
