RE: [RC] Mice - Rae Callaway

They’re young, but not so young that I can catch them.  They’re pretty quick.  I wish I still had my rat snake that used to live in the hay.  The dogs didn’t bother him and we didn’t have a rat/mouse problem at all then.

Are these baby mice?  If so, can you scoop them into a container and offer them as a gift to a neighbor's cat?  Or...you could drown them.  I know it sounds grim and awful, but it depends on how anxious you are to get rid of them.

Ok, I just found a large nest (about 20) of mice just under the mat by the doorway of one of my stalls.  What can I do to get rid of these guys?  I have a border mix that is very interested in the area, so I don’t feel comfortable with poison as the dog might get a dying poisoned mouse and poison herself.  Cats are also out as our dogs would either kill or chase off any cat we brought in.  What are my options here?
